Laura Hammond

Mrs. Laura Jean Ward Hammond, age 66, of Villa Rica, Georgia passed away Monday, March 26, 2012 at her residence following an extended illness. A native of Carroll County, Georgia she was born June 17, 1945 the daughter of the late Mr. Willie Dixon Ward and the late Mrs. Queenie Leola Harden Ward. She was a member of the Villa Rica First Presbyterian Church and retired from Sun Trust Bank. She is survived by her husband, Ray Hammond of Villa Rica; daughter and son-in-law, Natalie and Kenneth Gray of Villa Rica; son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Rebekah Hammond of Villa Rica; three grandchildren, Chance Hammond, Britt Hammond, and Riley Hammond. The family will receive friends in the Fellowship Hall at the Villa Rica First Presbyterian Church Friday, March 30, 2012 from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM. Memorial Services will be conducted Friday, March 30, 2012 at 1:00 PM from the Villa Rica First Presbyterian Church with Pastor Chad Sadorf officiating. According to her wishes, her body was cremated. Flowers will be accepted or contributions in memory of Mrs. Laura Hammond may be made to the Villa Rica First Presbyterian Church Building Fund, 519 Main Street, Villa Rica, Georgia 30180.
