Laura Rudene Newell Hanson

Mrs. Laura "Rudene" Newell Hanson, age 88 of Carrollton, Georgia passed away Tuesday, June 30, 2020. She was born October 8, 1931 the daughter of the late Mr. Alton Rieley Newell and the late Mrs. Marion Gladys Driver Newell. Mrs. Hanson enjoyed canning and sewing. She loved to visit and talk with her family and friends. She loved her dogs. Mrs. Hanson was of the Baptist Faith. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, James Harold Hanson; brother, Willard Newell. Mrs. Hanson is survived by her daughter, Janice Whitmire of Carrollton, Georgia; grandson, George E. Ralls, Jr.; three great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home of Villa Rica Friday, July 3, 2020 from 12:30 PM until 1:00 PM. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, July 3, 2020 at 1:00 PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home of Villa Rica with Rev. Fred Cooke officiating.
