Laura Thomas

Miss. Laura Ashley Thomas, age 29, of Douglasville, passed away Wednesday, May 9, 2012. She was born August 27, 1982 in Decatur, Georgia the daughter of Mr. Larry Allen Thomas and Mrs. Nancy Sharon Loggins Thomas. Miss. Thomas graduated from Lithia Springs High School in 2001. She attended college and became a registered Phlebotomist and a certified Physical Therapist. She worked as a Medical Assistant for Dr. Michael Quinones' office at DeKalb Medical Center. She was involved in the Plaza Theatre Group in Atlanta, loved to sing and was an excellent student. She is survived by her parents, Larry and Nancy Thomas of Douglasville; half-sister, Renee Ann Thomas of Cleveland, OH; brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth Christopher and Kristi Watts of Douglasville; paternal grandmother, Shirley Dean Thomas of Loganville; two nephews, Alexander Christian and Daniel Allen According to Miss. Thomas wishes she was cremated. Memorial Services will be conducted Sunday, June 3, 2012 at 1:00 PM at the Sweetwater State Park Group Shelter.
