Laurence Strickland

Mr. Laurence “Bo” Buford Strickland, age 73, of Lithia Springs, passed away Sunday, June 17, 2012. He was born October 27, 1938 in Douglasville the son of the late Mr. William Laurence Strickland and the late Mrs. Reba Christine Brannon Strickland. He worked as a parts manager for many years. He was a long time member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and loved his family dearly. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Donald R. Strickland. He is survived by his wife, Angela L. Strickland of Lithia Springs; daughters and son-in-law, Shari and Tom Atkinson of Lithia Springs, Susan L. Strickland of Villa Rica, brother and sister-in-law, Bobby and Annie Strickland of Lithia Springs, 2 grandchildren, Hannah and William Atkinson, and a number of nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Tuesday, June 19, 2012 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of Jones Wynn Funeral Home with Pastor Lloyd Latham and Pastor Lamar Rackley officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Douglasville with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Josh Faulkner, Matt Faulkner, Steve Faulkner, Eddie Strickland, Scott Camp, Jerry Hayes and William Atkinson.
