Layne Nugent

After days of battling spiked blood pressure and continual patterns of decreased fetal heartbeat in addition to his other complications, Layne Thomas Nugent was born on March 28th, 2019 at 10:56 AM at 26 weeks via emergency c-section. Not only was he surrounded by the strongest presence of God, but he had an amazing team of nurses and doctors who fought harder than anything to give him the best chance of life. However, Layne’s heart and lungs were just not strong enough to survive, and he went home to be with Jesus shortly after at 11:34 AM for the best birthday party ever. He was 1 pound, 7 ounces and 13 inches long. Although we were only together for a short amount of time, he will always be loved and in our hearts. We can’t thank everyone enough for all their prayers and support. As we grieve the loss of Layne, there is peace that while we may not understand right now, we know God has a plan. “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.” Romans‬ ‭8:28‬ ‭
