Leila James

Mrs. Leila Barnett James, age 88, of Temple, passed away, Wednesday, November 21, 2018. She was born January 10, 1930 in Atlanta the daughter of the late Mr. Charles Barnett and the late Mrs. Catherine Franklin Barnett Chastain. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Toby James, Sr.; sons, Charlie James, Clifford Scott James and Terry Dean James; sisters, Ina Mae Barnett and Annie Mae Barnett. She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Nancy Jeanette Furgerson of Temple, Brenda and Johnny Wade of Buchanan, Shirley Rushing of Bremen, Alice and Jerry Couch of Jefferson, Sheila and Billy Jordan of Temple, Cathy and Roger Ballenger of Carrollton; sons and daughter-in-law, Fred and Inez James of Temple, Larry James of Temple; twenty eight grandchildren; numerous great and great-great grandchildren also survive. The family will receive friends Monday, November 26, 2018 from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Monday, November 26, 2018 at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Bro. Shane Wade officiating.
