Lena Hardigree Richardson

Mrs. Lena Hardigree Richardson, age 87, of Villa Rica, Georgia passed away Tuesday, January 20, 2009 at Tanner Medical Center in Carrollton, Georgia. Mrs. Richardson was born April 16, 1921 in Walton County, Georgia, the daughter of the late Mr. Roy Hardigree and the late Mrs. Clara Boss Hardigree. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Richardson was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Richardson was preceded in death by her husband, William Edward Richardson, Sr.; three grandchildren, Robert L. Williams, Jr., Penny Richardson, and Eddie Richardson, III; her brothers, Homer Hardigree and Roy Hardigree; and her sister, Mamie Crawford. Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Helen Scott of Dacula, Anita Willoughby of Villa Rica, Gloria and Robert L. Williams of Carrollton, Janis and Frankie Hudgins of Temple, Suzanne and Richard Herbster of Villa Rica and Deena Richardson of Mt. Dora, Florida; her son and daughter-in-law, Billy and Laura Richardson of Douglasville; her sister, Effie Doster of Royston; her brother, Ollie Hardigree of Dallas; 18 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Services will be conducted Thursday, January 22, 2009 at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica with Pastors Dan and Carla Patrick officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Bill Scott, Russell Willoughby, David Willoughby, Jody Richardson, Adam Richardson, and Eric Williams. Interment will follow in the Garden of the Cross at Meadowbrook Memory Gardens on Hickory Level Road in Villa Rica, Georgia. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica on Wednesday, January 21, 2009 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
