Leonard Grady SmithMr. Leonard Grady Smith, age 69, of Temple passed away Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at his residence. He was born April 9, 1944 in Ft. Payne, AL the son of the late Mr. Houston Horace Smith and the late Mrs. Ethel Cecelia Green Smith. Mr. Smith served in the United States Navy and the United States Army. After he retired from the Military, Mr. Smith worked for Cadillac Products in Dallas for many years. He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Shannon Collins and Hal Wingfield of Temple, Lisa Jones Eberhart and Ronald Eberhart of Temple; sisters and brothers-in-law, Mildred and James Smith of O’hatchee, Vangie and David Kleindienst of Dallas, Bonita and Tim Vandiver of Villa Rica; brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert and Patricia Smith of Temple, Elbert and Jenny Smith of Rockmart; five grandchildren; one great grandchild. Several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home Wednesday, December 11, 2013 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Thursday, December 12, 2013 at 1:00 PM with Rev. Chad Kleindienst officiating. Interment will follow at Meadowbrook Memory Gardens with Military Honors. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Ron Eberhart, Spencer Jones, Jim Collins, Hal Wingfield, David Kleindienst and Mike Thomas. Honorary pallbearer will be Billy Joe Hughes.
