LeRoy Chester Brown

LeRoy “Lee” Brown, 86, of Douglasville, passed away on Thursday, December 5, 2024. He was born on October 22, 1938, the son of the late Lloyd George Brown and the late Frances E. Baker Brown.

Lee loved his family immensely and he was a wonderful father. He had a natural talent for building things, and his passion for carpentry was evident in everything he created. In addition to his professional accomplishments, Lee excelled in his career in sales and marketing, where his charisma and integrity served him well. He took great pride in being a charter member of the Knights of Columbus at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, reflecting his commitment to faith and service.

Outside of his work and community involvement, Lee was an avid sports enthusiast. He had a deep affection for baseball, particularly for the Atlanta Braves, and was a devoted fan of the Atlanta Falcons. His love for these teams was matched only by his enjoyment of fishing and bowling, activities that brought him joy and relaxation.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter Jill Parrett and his brother, David Brown.

He is survived by his wife, Ann Louise Brown; sons and daughters-in-law, David and Nicole Brown of Troy, Ohio, Jeffrey and Connie Brown of Columbus, North Carolina, and Anthony and Laura Brown of Statesville, North Carolina; daughter and son-in-law, Tina and Lon Spitler of Powder Springs; ten grandchildren, Nicholas (Amber) Brown, Lauren (Zack) Blair, Jacob (Hannah) Brown, Jami (Dana) Rothery, Ashle Parrett, Katherine (James) Brown, Eric Brown, Julia (David) White, Stephen (Anslie) Spitler, Ian (Lydia) Spitler; great grandchildren, Skylar, Tuffton, Navy, Jayna, Luke, Max, Rose and Ezra; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will have a memorial service at St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Lithia Springs, Georgia, on Saturday, January 18, 2025 at 11:30 AM with Father Jack officiating. Followed by the inurnment at Sunrise Gardens of Memories in Douglasville, Georgia at 2:00 PM.
