Mr. Leslie Wilfred Johnson, 84, of Winston, Georgia passed away Tuesday, September 20, 2005 at Wellstar Douglas Hospital in Douglasville. Mr. Johnson was born January 1, 1921 in Birmingham, England the son of the late Mr. George Henry Johnson and the late Mrs. Gertrude Johnson. He served in the British Navy during World War II. In 1965 he left England and moved to New York. Mr. Johnson was the captain of his cricket league and enjoyed playing soccer. He was a member of the Church of England and attended the Methodist church. He is survived by his wife, Joyce Wright Johnson of Winston; daughter and son-in-law, Victoria and Carl Wilson of Winston; son, Dennis H. Johnson of Cummings; sister and brother-in-law, Renee and Jim Fraser of Wales; five grandchildren and several nieces and nephew also survive. Memorial services will be conducted Friday, September 23, 2005 at First United Methodist Church in Douglasville with the Rev. Mike Lowery officiating.
