Leticia Jose

Mrs. Leticia Garcia Jose, age 73, of Villa Rica, passed away Friday, February 3, 2017. She was born January 5, 1944 in Cavite City, Philippines, the daughter of the late Mr. Aurelio Sanchez Garcia and the late Mrs. Patricia Catacutan Garcia. Mrs. Jose came to the United States in 1988 making Villa Rica her home. She retired after twenty plus years of service for Bay Springs Middle School Cafeteria in Villa Rica. She loved cooking, singing and spending time with her family. Mrs. Jose was a faithful and active member of First Baptist Church of Villa Rica. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Aurelio Garcia, Jr. and sister, Lourdes Garcia. She is survived by her husband, Benjamin Jose of Villa Rica; daughters and sons-in-law, Gladys and Matt Ricaplaza of Philippines, Gail and Denis Policar of Philippines; sons and daughters-in-law, Gideon and Jaime Jose of Villa Rica, Glenn and Ella Jose of Killeen, TX; sisters and brothers-in-law, Lolita and Bien Llobrera of Azusa, CA, Linda and Butch Carter of Anchorage, AK; grandchildren, Patricia, Kresta, Denbert, Laurence, Denise Teresita, Nathaniel and Sarah; Several nieces, nephews and extended family also survive. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica, Wednesday, February 8, 2017 from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM. Mrs. Jose will lie in state from 1:30 PM until funeral hour at First Baptist Church, Thursday, February 9, 2017. Funeral Services will be conducted Thursday, February 9, 2017 at 2:00 PM from First Baptist Church in Villa Rica with Dr. Kevin Williams officiating. Interment will follow at Meadowbrook Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers the family asks that contributions to be made to the First Baptist Church of Villa Rica Building Fund, 1483 West Highway 78 Villa Rica, Georgia 30180.
