Lillian Virginia Boyd Fraser

Mrs. Lillian Virginia Boyd Fraser, age 91, of Villa Rica, Georgia passed away Thursday, May 6, 2010 at Haralson Nursing and Rehabilitation Center following a brief illness. A native of Carroll County, she was born October 15, 1918, the daughter of the late Mr. Ollie Furman Boyd and the late Mrs. Dana Ophelia Yates Boyd. She was a devoted member of the First Baptist Church of Villa Rica where she attended the Fidelis Sunday School Class. She worked as a seamstress. Mrs. Fraser was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She had a great talent for art and enjoyed painting. She enjoyed writing and had many of her short stories published in magazines. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Charles Fraser; son, Boyd Fraser; and son-in-law, Charlie Boyd and sister, LaRue Graf. She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Annette Fraser Lyons and James Lyons of Stone Mountain and Paulette Fraser Boyd of Marietta; daughter-in-law, Janice Conner Fraser of Villa Rica; brother and sister-in-law, Lawrence and Virginia Boyd of Stone Mountain; 4 grandchildren and their spouses, Stephen Kyle and Deanna Fraser of Carrollton, Samuel Keith and Mary Fraser of Villa Rica, Jason Boyd of California, and Joel and Kendra Boyd of Rockmart; 4 great-grandchildren, Anna Fraser and Joseph Fraser both of Carrollton, Morgan Fraser of Villa Rica, and Charlie Boyd of Rockmart; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday, May 8, 2010 at 3:00 PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica with Rev. Ben Pilgreen and Rev. Jeff Jones officiating. Musical selections will be provided by Charles Cole accompanied by Rev. Ben Pilgreen. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Villa Rica. Her grandsons, Kyle Fraser, Keith Fraser, Jason Boyd, Joel Boyd and great-grandson, Joseph Fraser will lovingly serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home of Villa Rica, Saturday, May 8, 2010 from 12 Noon until 3:00 PM. Messages of condolence to the family may be sent from www.jones-wynn.com.
