Linda Carol McGowan Williams

Mrs. Linda Carol McGowan Williams, age 74, of Carrollton, Georgia, passed away Monday, December 28, 2020. She was born June 30, 1946 in Dothan, Alabama, the daughter of the Mr. Guy Edsel McGowan and the late Mrs. Sarah Frances Walker McGowan. Mrs. Williams worked for Paulding County School System as a teacher for many years at New Georgia Elementary. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed all sorts of arts and crafts. Mrs. Williams sang in the Carrollton Community Chorus and was a member of their board of directors. She loved Jesus and was a dedicated member of Concord United Methodist Church in Carrollton, where she was a pianist and choir leader for many years. Mrs. Williams is survived by her husband of over 51 years, Mr. George "Larry" Williams of Carrollton; her children, Alisa and Mitchell Bostic of Wirtz, Virginia, Anthony and Renee Williams of Acworth and Ashley and Beth Williams of Villa Rica; her brothers and sisters-in-law, Kenneth and Sindi McGowan of Carrollton, Mike McGowan of Columbus and Mark and Paula McGowan of Upatoi; eight grandchildren, Kimberly Bostic, Karen Foster, Kacey Williams, Brandon Williams, Lily Bostic, Trevor Bostic, Ella Dashner and Owen Dashner; one great grandchild, Atticus Duvall; and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home of Villa Rica, Wednesday, December 30, 2020 from 5:00PM until 8:00PM. Funeral Services will be conducted, Thursday, December 31, 2020 at 1:00PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Villa Rica with Rev. Todd Dudich officiating. Musical selections will be rendered by Alisa Bostic and Mark McGowan with piano accompanist, Sarah Parker. Interment will follow in Meadowbrook Memory Gardens on Hickory Level Road in Villa Rica, Georgia.
