Linda Henderson George

Linda Henderson George, 55, of Alabama, passed away on Monday, January 20, 2025. She was born on August 26, 1969, the daughter of the late Henry Sobol Henderson and the late Helen Marie Hathaway Henderson.

Linda was a devoted pastor's wife and she always offered unwavering support to friends and family. She truly never met a stranger. Her genuine interest in others made her a beloved figure among those who knew her. Linda had a passion for music, particularly for singing southern gospel hymns, which resonated deeply within her soul. Music was a way to connect, uplift, and inspire those around her. In combination with her talents in crafting and floral arrangements, she brought beauty and joy into the lives of many.

Linda also cherished the time spent hosting gatherings, an endeavor that was her all-time favorite. Through her parties, she created spaces for laughter, fellowship, and joy, bringing friends and family together to celebrate life’s moments, both big and small. Throughout her life, Linda always wore a smile, a reflection of her generous spirit and the positivity she radiated. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her Aunt Carol Miles, Uncle Jesse Hathaway and Uncle James Hathaway

She is survived by her husband, Barry George; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Joyce and Larry George; sister and brother-in-law, Lydia (James) Ferguson of Cantonment, Florida; many extended family, aunts and uncle, Velma and Charles Zeigler, John and Joyce Hathaway, Jerry and Penny Hathaway; special God children, Andrew Henry, Anna Harris, Abby Henry, Kaylon Lansdon, R.J. Bilbro, and Brittany Davis.

The family will receive friends on Friday, January 24, 2025 from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home Villa Rica Chapel. Funeral services will be conducted at Jones-Wynn Villa Rica Chapel on Friday, January 24, 2025 at 2:00 PM. Entombment will follow at Meadowbrook Memory Gardens Mausoleum.

Linda leaves behind a legacy characterized by love, friendship, and a devotion to community. She will be deeply missed.
