Linda Eleanor Harrington

Linda Eleanor Harrington, 88, of Carrollton, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 18, 2026. She was born on April 25, 1938, the daughter of the late I.V. Hosey and the late Opal Griffin Hosey.

Linda’s life was a testament to love, generosity, and faith. She was a kind and devoted Christian lady, whose spirit shone brightly. Linda’s faith was at the center of her life and she was a dedicated member of the Bowdon Church of Christ, where she not only attended worship but also served her community as a Sunday School Teacher. Through her teaching, she touched the lives of many souls. Linda also found joy in crafts and making floral arrangements.

She is survived by her loving husband of seventy years, James Carroll Harrington; sons and daughters-in-law, Philip and Sandra Harrington, Michael and Vickie Harrington; grandchildren, Andrew Harrington, Erin and Andy Graham, Emily Harrington, and Caitlyn Probst; great-grandchild Brynlee Hatzke; brothers and sisters-in-law, Darrell and June Hosey, Paul and Jan Hosey; sister and brother-in-law, Gayle and Don Fletcher; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 23, 2026 from 12:30 PM until 1:30 PM at Bowdon Church of Christ with a memorial service at 1:30 PM.

Linda Eleanor Harrington will be remembered for her open heart, her unwavering faith, and the gentle grace with which she lived her days.
