Linda Carol Netherland, 69, of Douglasville, GA, passed away on Friday, January 30, 2026. She was born on January 31, 1956, the daughter of the late John Robert Netherland and the late Marjorie Frances Lingefelt Netherland.
Known for her vibrant personality, Linda was a true animal lover, with a particular fondness for dogs and horses. Her selfless and giving nature touched the lives of those around her, as she consistently put the needs of others before her own.
Bubbly and outgoing, Linda had a unique ability to brighten any room with her infectious laughter and cheerful spirit. Her talkative disposition and love for conversation made her a cherished companion, as she often enjoyed engaging with friends and family alike. It was this authentic happiness that radiated from her, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Linda’s life was a testament to kindness, showing that true fulfillment comes from caring for others. She will be remembered fondly for her unwavering support and the joy she brought into the lives of countless people.
She is survived by her sisters, Bonnie Netherland (Bill Cook) of Blairsville, GA and Cindy (Doug) Hall of Pine Mountain, GA; brothers, Larry Netherland of Centre, AL and Bobby Netherland of Douglasville, GA; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive family and friends on Friday, February 6, 2026 from 2:30 PM until 3:30 PM at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home Douglas Chapel.
A graveside service will be conducted on Friday, February 6, 2026 at 4:00 PM at Sunrise Gardens of Memories in Douglasville, GA.
Interment will follow at Sunrise Gardens of Memories of Douglasville, GA.
Linda is survived by her loving family and friends, who will forever hold the memories of her warm heart and passionate spirit close to their own. Her legacy of love and compassion will continue to inspire all who knew her.
