Linda Jane Robison, age 81, known affectionately as “Jane”, passed away on September 23, 2024. She was born on April 1, 1943, in Gadsden, Alabama, to the late Mr. John Alton Brown and the late Mrs. Margaret Lenora Leath Brown.
Jane devoted her life to Christ, education and nurturing young minds. She was a beloved educator and a cherished member of her church at Lithia Springs Methodist Church. Jane dedicated over twenty years to teaching at Lithia Springs High School, as well as Sylvan Hills High School and South Cobb High School.
Jane's passion for teaching was evident in her genuine love for her students. She held a master’s degree and specialist degree, demonstrating her commitment to ongoing professional development and she was also deeply committed to her faith, often participating in church events and community gatherings. Her dedication to serving others and her strong relationship with Christ were central to her life. Jane was also an avid Auburn fan, as she earned her bachelor’s degree at Auburn University. Jane was a spirited college football enthusiast, sharing her love for the sport with friends and family.
Jane's intellect was matched only by her warmth and spirit. Described as the sweetest, kindest, most genuine person - she was a beacon of positivity, known for her sense of humor and remarkable organization skills. Jane truly embodied the character of an inspiring teacher and friend. Jane was an incredible Christian woman, who showed Christ’s love for others through her kindness and Godly spirit. To know her was undoubtedly to love her.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Jane was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Mr. Franklin “Frank” Robison; brother, Charles “Charlie” Brown; and son-in-law Jeffrey “Jeff” Deal.
She is survived by her daughter, Christine Robison Deal; son, John Robison and his wife, Lori; grandchildren, Joshua Robison, Hannah Robison; as well as a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 28, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Lithia Springs Methodist Church - 3711 Temple St, Lithia Springs, GA 30122. The memorial service will follow at 1:00 PM with Pastor Thomas Long officiating.
