Linwood Carlton Lee

Mr. Linwood Carlton Lee, age 70, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Monday, February 10, 2020. He was born July 17, 1949 in Bowdon, Georgia, the son of the late Joseph William Lee and the late Iva McLeroy. He worked for Lee Fixtures for over 28 years as a carpenter. Mr. Lee was skilled in building, remodeling and woodworking. He enjoyed traveling and loved the UGA Bulldogs. He was a member of Dorsett Shoals Baptist Church in Douglasville. In addition to his parents, Mr. Lee was preceded in death by his sisters, Gwyn Merkerson of Loganville and Jo Nation of Covington. Mr. Lee is survived by his wife of over 50 years, Mrs. Myra Long Lee of Douglasville; his son and daughter-in-law, Brian Lee and Rhonda Potter Lee of Douglasville; his sister, Lydia Elder of Covington; his brothers and sister-in-law, Grant and Ellen Lee of Winston and Barry Lee of Phenix City, Alabama; two grandsons, Braedon Lee and Gavin Lee; and a number of nieces and nephews also survive. A Celebration of Life will be conducted Saturday, February 15, 2020 at 3:00 PM at 3277 Shakerly Park, Douglasville, GA 30135. Messages of condolences may be sent to the family at www.jones-wynn.com.
