Lizzie Wright Morris

Mrs. Lizzie Wright Morris, 92, of Villa Rica, Georgia passed away Wednesday, April 26, 2006 at her residence. She was born October 15, 1913 in Haralson County, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late Jessie Wright and the late Josie Gilreath Wright. Mrs. Morris was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Villa Rica. She was a homemaker. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Morris was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie A. Morris; her son, Joe Morris; her sons-in-law, Sonny Hall and O. B. Golden; her great-grandson, Nicholas Pace; her brothers, Albert Wright and Lawrence Wright; and her sisters, Pearlie Johnson and Minnie Ruth Causey. Survivors include her daughters, Corine Weaver, Alice Golden McCleary and Imogene Hall, all of Villa Rica; son and daughter-in-law, Rev. Jimmy and Kathy Morris of Villa Rica; 16 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 27 great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive. Mrs. Morris will lie in state at Grace Baptist Church in Villa Rica, Georgia on Friday, April 28, 2006 from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, April 28, 2006 at 2:00 PM from Grace Baptist Church in Villa Rica, Georgia with Rev. Barry Golden and Rev. Jimmy Morris officiating. Musical selections will be rendered by Kelly McCord. Pallbearers will be Melvin Pace, David Golden, Danny Smith, Gary Morris, Christopher Morris, Dwight Golden, T. J. Pace and Ray Smith. Interment will follow at the Draketown Cemetery in Draketown, Georgia. The family will be receiving friends in the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica, Wednesday, April 26, 2006, from 6:30 PM until 9:00 PM and Thursday, April 27, 2006 from 9:00 AM until 9:00 PM Messages of condolence may be sent to the family at www.jones-wynn.com.
