Mrs. Lois Matthews Miller, 99, of the Beulah Community in Dallas, Georgia passed away Monday, July 2, 2007. She was born July 30, 1907 in Douglas County, Georgia; the daughter of the late William Glenn Matthews and the late Serena Isabell “Bell” Leatherwood Matthews. Mrs. Miller was a homemaker and a member of the Beulah Land Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Miller was preceded in death by her husband, Hamon Miller and her eleven brothers and sisters. Survivors include her daughter, Maebel Wilson of Atlanta; sons, Ray Miller of McDonough; Max Miller of McDonough; Frank Miller of Roswell; and Steve Miller of Rockmart; sister in-law, Reba Matthews of Villa Rica; ten grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be conducted on Friday, July 6, 2007 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, in Villa Rica with Rev. Kent Bankston officiating. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica, Thursday, July 5, 2007 from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Interment will follow at Concord Cemetery in Paulding County, Georgia with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers; Ricky Bradley, Alan Miller, Mark Wilson, David Miller, Charles Miller, Jeff Miller, Greg Miller, and Drew Miller. The family has requested in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Beulah Land Baptist Church Building Fund at 229 Pleasant Grove Road, Rockmart, GA 30153.
