Mrs. Lois Joan Webb, age 83, of Whitesburg, passed away Sunday, February 11, 2024. She was born July 24, 1940 in East Point to the late Mr. William Luallen and the late Mrs. Opal Luallen.
Throughout her life, Lois was a pillar of strength for her family. She was deeply family-oriented, finding joy in the presence of her grandkids and being the glue that held her loved ones together. Lois had a gentle spirit and found solace in reading her Bible. It was through these pages that she drew wisdom, comfort, and guidance for herself and those around her. Her faith was unwavering and served as an inspiration to all who knew her. In addition to her devotion to family and faith, Lois had a variety of interests that brought her happiness. From enjoying the scenic beauty of the mountains to indulging in baking delicious treats, she found delight in the simple pleasures of life. Her hardworking nature shone through in everything she did, whether it was engaging in friendly bowling competitions with Mr. Webb or keeping up with the latest soap operas. Lois Joan Webb will be remembered not only for her laughter and warmth but also for the love and kindness she spread wherever she went. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to have known her.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Richard Webb; daughter, Joan Berry.
She is survived by her daughter, Judy (Mark) Hester of Whitesburg; son, Ricki Webb of Douglasville; grandchildren, Richard “Jeff” Hester, Mark Hester, Kacey Hester; great grandchildren, Auburie, Connor, Kason, Journey.
The family will receive friends at Ebenezer Baptist Church on Thursday, February 22, 2024 from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM. The funeral service will follow at 12:00 PM with Pastor Mike Powers officiating. The interment will take place at Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery.
