Mrs. Lorene Smallwood Roderigas, age 81, of Lithia Springs, Georgia passed away Thursday, November 29, 2012 at Heritage Hospice in Marietta following an extended illness. She was born September 16, 1931 in Rockdale County, Georgia the daughter of the late Mr. Nelson Kenneth Smallwood and the late Mrs. Ora McBurnett Smallwood. She was of the Baptist Faith and retired from Smurfit Stone Container Company. She was an avid Atlanta Braves fan. She was actively involved with the Recycled Teenagers, Red Hat Club, and the Golden Age Senior Citizen Group. She was devoted to her family and loved spending time with them. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by several siblings. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Donna Roderigas of Snellville; daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Jimmie Wilson of Hoschton; three sisters and brother-in-law, Mattie Hamlen of Dahlonega, Dot Willis, and Mary and Carlos Wooten all of Lithia Springs; brother and sister-in-law, Buren and Dianne Smallwood of Lithia Springs; three grandchildren, Christopher Roderigas, Kimberly Roderigas, and Rebecca Wilson; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglas Chapel, Friday, November 30, 2012 from 6:30 PM until 9:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday, December 1, 2012 at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville with Rev. Terry Marbutt and Jimmie Wilson officiating. Interment will follow at Mozley Memorial Gardens. The following will serve as pallbearers: Jimmie Wilson, Carlos L. âBubbaâ Wooten, Michael Allen, Michael Beck, Randy Tumlin, and Rodney Tumlin.
