Lorna Hall Bush, 72, of Villa Rica, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Tuesday, May 12, 2026. She was born on September 21, 1953, the daughter of the late William Grady Hall, Sr. and the late Helen Smith Hall.
Lorna was a cherished mother, grandmother, and devoted member of her community. She led a life with love and generosity. Throughout her years, Lorna found joy in spending time with her grandchildren. Their laughter and company were among her greatest joys of her life in countless ways. She also held a passion for the Atlanta Braves and traveling with Joe. She accompanied him on his lodge activities.
Lorna’s commitment to service and faith was evident in her active membership in the Social Order of The Beauceant, a Christian Masonic ladies group where she found meaningful purpose. Her dedication to this community reflected her values of friendship, faith, and fellowship. Lorna’s passing marks the loss of a woman who embraced life with kindness and devotion.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, William Grady Hall, Jr. and her sister, Sybil D. Hall.
She is survived by her loving husband, Joe Reid Bush; sons and daughters-in-law, Joey and Sarah Bush of Carrollton, Jeremy and Heather Bush of Decatur; sister and brother-in-law, Janice and Gary Munson of Palatka, Florida; brothers and sisters-in-law, Fred and Ricki Hall of Pinson, Alabama, John and Cerethia Hall of Valley, Alabama; three grandchildren, Grady Bush, Emmett Bush and Keaton Bush; numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Monday, May 18, 2026 from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Wesley Chapel Methodist Church with funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM with Pastor Joe Condra officiating. Interment will follow on Tuesday, May 19, 2026 at 2:00 PM EST at Elmwood Cemetery in Birmingham, Alabama.
