Lou Nell Moncus

Ms. Lou Nell Garrison Moncus, 65, of Villa Rica, Georgia passed away Sunday, July 3, 2016 at Tanner Medical Center in Carrollton. She was born July 9, 1950 in Valley, Alabama, the daughter of the late Mr. William Joseph Garrison and the late Mrs. Katheryn O’Neal Garrison. She retired from the Georgia Department of Agriculture as a Research Specialist in the poultry division following 30 years of service. She was a member of Victory Baptist Church in Douglasville. She enjoyed playing golf at Fairfield. She enjoyed crafts and spending time with friends and family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Myra Jean Meadors. She is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Wayne and Becky Garrison of Cumming; niece, Amy Holley of Valley, AL; great-niece, Jacy; her best friend, Barbara Watkins of Villa Rica. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home and Crematory in Douglasville, Wednesday, July 6, 2016 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. She will lie in state at Victory Baptist Church in Douglasville, Thursday, July 7, 2016 from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Thursday, July 7, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Victory Baptist Church in Douglasville with Pastor James Cook officiating. Interment will follow at the Victory Cemetery.
