Louis Rayford "Curley" Rhodes

Mr. Louis Rayford “Curley” Rhodes, 80, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Monday, May 14, 2007 at his residence in Douglasville, Georgia. He was born November 6, 1926 in Dale County, Alabama. He was the son Mr. Henry Rhodes and Mrs. Georgia Ann Urshry Rhodes. Mr. Rhodes was a retired heavy equipment operator, and a member of the Baptist Faith. He was proceeded in death by his parents, his wife Ilene McElroy Rhodes, and two sons, Charles Boyd Rhodes and Terry Lynn Rhodes, Sr. Survivors include daughters; Charlotte McDuffie of Douglasville, Georgia, Jodie Browning of Acworth, Georgia, Margie Lawson of Indianapolis, Indiana and Kathy Rhodes of Temple, Georgia, sons; Glen Rhodes of Douglasville, Georgia, Louis Rayford Rhodes, Jr. and Michael Lee Shaughnessy, sixteen grandchildren; twenty four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, May 16, 2007 at 2:00PM at the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, in Villa Rica, Georgia with Rev. Steven Williams, and Rev. Randy Baxter officiating. Interment will follow in District Line Cemetery in Villa Rica, Georgia.
