Louise Brooks Daughtry

Mrs. Louise Brooks Daughtry, 79, of High Falls Park Road, Milner, Georgia, formerly of Villa Rica, passed away Friday, July 1, 2005 at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. She was born July 15, 1925 in Paulding County, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late William George Brooks and the late Bertha Charlotte Denton Brooks. Mrs. Daughtry was a member of Rock Springs Church in Milner, Georgia. She worked as an executive secretary for Sherwin Williams retiring in 1986 after 39 years of service. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Daughtry was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Robert “Bob” Daughtry. Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Charlotte and Kenneth Rainey of Villa Rica, Renee and Ricky Viars of Milner and Teresa Huling of Atlanta; son, Michael B.Daughtry of Milner; brothers, Hubert L. Brooks of Tiger, C.W. Brooks of Dallas and John A. Brooks of Dallas; grandchildren, Mikki Daughtry of Los Angeles, California, Kim Watson of Jackson, Julie Craig of Locust Grove, Ken Rainey of Villa Rica, Kyle Rainey of Villa Rica, Vaneta Viars, of Milner, Rick Viars, II of Milner, and Alexandria “Ally” Viars of Milner; great grandchildren, Mallory and Molly Watson and J.D. Watson of Jackson; step-great grandchildren, Drake Spratlin of Cornelia and Blake Watson of Locust Grove. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, July 7, 2005 at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica with Rev. Stan Daniel officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Villa Rica, Georgia. The family will be receiving friends at Rock Springs Church in Milner, Georgia on Tuesday, July 5, 2005 from 7:00PM until 9:00PM and at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica, Wednesday, July 6, 2005, from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
