Louise Opal Bragg

Mrs. Louise Opal Bragg, 83, of Austell, Georgia passed away Wednesday, October 22, 2008 at Heartland Hospice in Austell. A native of Douglas County, Georgia she was born December 21, 1924 the daughter of the late Mr. Wesley Phillip Shead and the late Mrs. Bessie Ray Mathis. She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church in Douglasville. She was a hairdresser. She was devoted to her family and was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James Edward Bragg; brother, Charles Shead and sister, Evelyn Shead. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Diane and Albert Hines of Douglasville and Sheila and Charles Crone of Lithia Springs; sons and daughters-in-law, James and Debbie Bragg of Douglasville and Phil and Sandra Shead of Carrollton; brothers and sister-in-law, Ray and Exie Shead of Carrolton and Fred Shead of Douglasville; 12 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Services will be conducted Friday, October 24, 2008 at 2:00 PM at Liberty Baptist Church in Douglasville with Rev. Terry Marbut and Rev. Johnny White officiating. Interment will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. The following will serve as pallbearers: Mark Crone, Rob Kirchmeyer, Burt Hines, Todd Hines, Joe Shead, Joe Singley, Kyle Bragg, and Scott Benson. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglas Chapel, Thursday, October 23, 2008 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
