Louise P. Richardson

Mrs. Louise P. Richardson, age 88, of Villa Rica, Georgia passed away Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at Wellstar Douglas Hospital. She was born December 15, 1920 in Carroll County to the late Mr. Guy Pope and the late Mrs. Florence Defreese Pope. Mrs. Richardson was a homemaker, devoting her life to caring for her children and grandchildren. For many years, she blessed her family with her gifts of sewing, cooking, canning, gardening, and playing the piano. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Villa Rica. She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law Gayle and Larry Brown of Douglasville, Anne and Jerry Dean of Villa Rica; sons and daughters-in-law Jerry and Wanda Richardson of Waleska, Bill Richardson of Villa Rica; brothers and sister-in-law Fred Pope and Harold and Phyllis Pope of Villa Rica; grandchildren Thomas Richardson, Jeff Richardson, Robert Haynes, Vicki McGathy, Kelly Towe, Jennifer Griffin, Ashley Brown, Jessica Brown; six great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, July 3rd at 11:00 AM at the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Villa Rica with Minister Sharon Haynes officiating. Internment will follow at the Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Family will receive friends Thursday, July 2, 2009 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home of Villa Rica.
