Mrs. Louise Virginia Jones James, 98, of Union City, Georgia passed away Saturday, October 29, 2005 at Christian City Convalescent Center in Union City. Mrs. James was born February 2, 1907 in Alexandria, Virginia the daughter of the late Mr. George Jones and the late Mrs. Lillian Hollings Jones. She worked as a clerk for Southern Railroad for 30 years and was a member of First Christian Church of Tyron, Georgia. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Lynwood “Lindy” Milan James, Sr.; son, Lynwood Milan James, Jr.; daughter, Jacqueline Louise James; brothers, George Jones, Jr., Marshall Jones; and her sisters, Florence Golden, Alma Jones, Evelyn Wright and Eunice Toms. She is survived by grandchildren Kristen James Martin and Matthew Martin of Lexington, SC, Michael David James of Douglasville, Jennifer James Bentman and Brett Bentman of Marietta, great grandchild Sydney James Martin of Lexington, SC; nieces Janet Moody of Chattanooga, TN and Agnes Magarity of McLean, VA; and great nieces Linda Grabine of Kill Devil Hills, NC, Diane Magarity of McLean, VA. Graveside services will be conducted Tuesday, November 1, 2005 at 3:00 PM from Westview Cemetery in Atlanta with Pastor Billy Rowe officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday, November 1, 2005 from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglas Chapel.
