Mrs. Lovella Gossett, age 65, of Lithia Springs, Georgia passed away Saturday, July 16, 2011 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born August 9, 1945 in Rome, Georgia. In her younger days she worked at the Federal Reserve Bank. She later worked as a personnel director for Millerzell Printing Company and Instore Media Corporation. After retirement, she devoted herself to her family and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother, Willie Reynolds Hart. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Anthony Sprayberry Lithia Springs; 3 grandchildren, Nancy Barrett, Pam Barrett and Johnathon Barrett; 1 great grandchild, Jackson Barrett; former husband and the father of her daughter, Billy Gossett of Douglasville. Memorial Services will be conducted Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at 6:30 PM from the Douglas Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Pastor Richard Bowen and Chaplain Dela Leyssius officiating. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglas Chapel, Wednesday, July 20, 2011 from 4:30 PM until 6:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Lovella Gossett may be made to the American Lung Association, 1301 Pennsylvania Avenue SW, Suite 800, Washington, DC 20004 or the American Cancer Society, 1825 Barrett Lakes Blvd, Ste 280, Kennesaw, Georgia 30144.
