Mrs. Cheryl LuAnn Ellis Smith, age 55, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Thursday, October 27, 2011 at her residence. A Douglasville native, she was born August 24, 1956 the daughter of the late Mr. Furman Edward Ellis and the late Mrs. Barbara Adkins Ellis. She worked as a Human Resources Manager for Generation Mortgage. She was an active member of the Second Baptist Church of Douglasville where she served as a Sunday School Teacher, Awana Teacher and as the President of the Ladies Missionary Circle. She was devoted to her family and was a loving wife, mother, sister, and grandmother. She is survived by her husband, Ronnie Smith of Douglasville; daughters and sons-in-law, Heather and Billy Kay and Deanna and Sam Abercrombie all of Carrollton and Rebecca Vandermolen of Douglasville; one son, Charlie Hall, Jr. of Douglasville; sisters and brothers-in-law, Mandy and John McClure and Dale and Jimmy Eldridge all of Navasota, TX; brothers, Mickey Ellis and David Ellis both of Navasota, TX; 21 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglas Chapel, Sunday, October 30, 2011 from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM and from 6:30 PM until 9:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Monday, October 31, 2011 at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville with Pastor Freddy Blalock, Pastor Bobby Wood, Brother Donnie Smith and Pastor Terry Marbut officiating. Pete Durham will provide musical selections of “Beulahland” and “The Lord’s Prayer”. Interment will follow at Mozley Memorial Gardens in Lithia Springs.
