Mrs. Ludie Mae Huddleston Strickland, age 76, of Winston passed away Friday, January 11, 2013. She was born December 4, 1936 in Clebourn, Al the daughter of the late Mr. Oliver Huddleston and the late Mrs. Georgia Laminack Huddleston. She worked for the Banning Yarn Mill as a Spinning Frame Operator for many years. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her grandchild, Pearly Mae Strickland; great grandchild, Shyann Kaye Strickland; son, Hubert Frank Strickland; brothers, Hubert Huddleston, Grady Huddleston, Fred Huddleston and Lewis Huddleston; sisters, Frances Strickland and Agnes Swart; sister-in-law, Betty Huddleston.She is survived by her husband, Frank Redman Strickland of Winston; daughter and son-in-law, Peggy and Lonnie Ard of Winston; sons and daughters-in-law, Ricky and Cathy Strickland of Winston, Richard and Trish Strickland of Winston; eight grandchildren, Melissa and Kenny Whitman of Douglasville, Penny and Keith Mayfield of Senoia, L. J. and Ashley Ard of Winston, Richard and Nicole Strickland of Winston, Frank Strickland of Winston, Joey and Chelsey Strickland of Gayton, C.J. Strickland of Winston, Michael Strickland of Winston; thirteen great grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends from Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica, Sunday, January 13, 2013 from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM and Monday, January 14, 2013 from 9:00 AM until 9:00 PM. Funeral Service will be conducted Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at 2:00 PM from Friendship Baptist Church with Rev. Eric Evans and Rev. Johnny White officiating. Interment will follow at Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery. Messages of condolence may be sent to the family at www.jones-wynn.com.
