Mable Smallwood

Mrs. Mable Smallwood, age 89, of Bremen, Georgia formerly of Douglasville, passed away Sunday, September 19, 2010. She was born December 7, 1920, the daughter of the late Mr. Hosey Butler and the late Mrs. Mattie Butler of Randolph, AL. She was devoted to her family and enjoyed cooking and quilting. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Willie Smallwood; son, Jasper Smallwood; five sisters and five brothers. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Jane and Jerry Bell of Bremen; granddaughter, Rhonda and Billy Thompson and great-grandson, Eric Thompson all of Temple; brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Sybil Butler of Douglasville. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Graveside Services will be conducted Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Mt. Zion Cemetery on highway 5 in Whitesburg with Micah Butler officiating.
