Mrs. Madalyn Willis Frazier, age 79, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Monday, August 19, 2013. She was born January 26, 1934 in Kyles Ford, Tennessee the daughter of the late Mr. Claude Willis, Sr. and the late Mrs. Ethel Hurd Willis. She married John Shanklin Frazier on August 7, 1965 in Atlanta. She worked as a school teacher and was a member of Faith Bible Fellowship in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. She was a member of the Gideon International, was a cancer survivor and a champion golfer. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Shanklin Frazier; brother, Billy Joe Willis; sister, Barbara Tedder and nephew, Mark Kassem. She is survived by her two sons and daughters-in-laws, Jonathan and Rachel Frazier of Douglasville, GA and David and Lillian Frazier of Knoxville, TN; stepdaughters and sons-in-law, Sandra and Ralph Banks of Tuscaloosa, AL and Patricia and John Myers of Kingport, TN; sisters and brother-in-law, Norma Jean Willis of Rogersville, TN and Ann and Sam Kassem of Kingsport, TN; brother and sister-in-law, Claude “Bud” and Linda Willis, Jr. of Rogersville, TN; sister-in-law, Mary Willis of Lenoir City, TN; brother-in-law, Maynard Tedder of Kingsport, TN; 14 grandchildren, Holly, Daniel, John, Kyla, Annaliese, Jeremiah, Madeline, Elizabeth, Michaela, Olivia, Jessica, Christina, Patricia, and Tirzah; three great-grandchildren, Jairus, Thomas, and Hannah; four nephews and one niece, Eric Tedder, Roger Tedder, Michael Kassem, Steven Willis and Laura Willis. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglas Chapel Thursday, August 22, 2013 from 3:00 PM until 4:00 PM. Graveside Service will be conducted Thursday, August 22, 2013 at 5:00 PM at Meadowbrook Memory Gardens in Villa Rica with Pastor Chris Bunn officiating. Interment will follow at Meadowbrook Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Gideon’s International Ministry, PO Box 140800, Nashville, TN 37214 or www.gideons.org.
