Mrs. Madolyn Virginia Manning Harrison, 77, of Villa Rica, Georgia passed away Tuesday, July 10, 2007 at Pine Knoll Nursing Home in Carrollton. She was born on November 30, 1929, in Felton, Georgia, the daughter of the late Mr. Joseph Cecil Manning and the late Mrs. Lula Belle Marks Manning. Mrs. Harrison graduated from Tallapoosa High School in 1946 and West Georgia College in 1948 and in 1968 where she was Valedictorian of her classes. Mrs. Harrison was a member of First Baptist Church of Villa Rica. Mrs. Harrison was a member of the Fedilis Sunday School Class and sang in the adult choir. She established and was the Director of the First Baptist Preschool for many years and devoted most of her life to the Education of young people. She was a Preschool Sunday School Teacher and served on many committees in the Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Cynthia Harrison Clary, and her brothers, Howard Cecil Manning and William Thomas âBillyâ Manning, She is survived by her husband, James Thomas Harrison of Villa Rica to whom she married on December 26, 1951, Daughters and son-in-laws, Suzanne and Gary Watson, Lorie Harrison and Katie Harrison and Rufus Chism all of Villa Rica. Sisters and brothers-in-laws, Joan and Chuck Alford, Sandra and June Walker all of Douglasville, Sarah Robinson, Sylvia and Willard Robinson and Carol and Barry Patterson all of Tallapoosa, three grandchildren, Kelli and David Blankenship, Hayley Harrison Watson and James Maliek Chism all of Villa Rica, and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday July 13, 2007 at 1:00 PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, with Dr. Frank Nuckolls, Dr. J. B. Marlow officiating. Interment will follow at Meadowbrook Memory Gardens with Rev. Jeff Jones officiating. The following gentlemen serving as pallbearers; Bill Robinson, Scott Robinsion, Richard Kilgore, Clay Robinson, Kerry Miller, Terry Miller, Tim Padgett, and Gary Thomas. Honorary Pallbearers will be anyone who was a student of Mrs. Harrison.
