Magdalene Hicks

Mrs. Magdalene “Sister Pete” McCray Hicks, age 92 of Lithia Springs, GA passed away Tuesday December 20, 2016 at Haralson Nursing and Rehab in Bremen following an extended illness. She was born March 8, 1924 in Rome, Georgia the daughter of the late Holbrook McCray and Ella Mae Plemon McCray. She was a member of the Sunnyside Baptist Church in Lithia Springs. She is survived by 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Carol Hicks of Lithia Springs and Lamar and Linda Hicks of Lithonia. Seven grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, several great-great grandchildren, three nephews and other extended family members also survive. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, December 22, 2016 from 5:00PM until 9:00PM. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, December 23, 2016 at 1:00 PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville with Bro. Robert Dilbeck and Bro. Chuck Spradlin officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Memorial Gardens in Stockbridge with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers, Roger Kobeck, Jacob Daniel, Ryan Daniel, Mark Thompson, Will Thompson, Braden Green.
