Magdalene Reed Green

Mrs. Magdalene “Maggie” Reed Green, 76 of Douglasville, Georgia, passed away Saturday, May 31, 2008 at Wellstar Douglas Hospital in Douglasville. She was born July 2, 1931 in Greensboro, Georgia; the daughter of the late Dewitt Talmadge Reed and the late Nellie Jane Fields Reed. Mrs. Green was retired from the banking industry where she worked as a loan officer; and was a member of Shepherd of the Hills United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Ray Green, Sr.; sisters, Dorothy Welborne, Pauline Johnson, and Thelma Lee Pruitt; and brothers, Charles Dewitt Reed, Roy Cecil Reed, and John Benjamin Reed. Survivors include daughter, Linda Susan Green Steadham of Dacula; son, Billy Ray Green, Jr. of Douglasville; brother, George Harold Reed of Albany; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be conducted Tuesday, June 3, 2008 at 12:00 PM at Shepherd of the Hills United Methodist Church with Rev. Adam Roberts and Rev. Tim Potate officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory in Decatur. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville Monday, June 2, 2008 from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM, and 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
