Malcolm Whitson

Mr. Malcolm Whitson, age 73, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Saturday, October 7, 2006 at his residence. He was born June 12, 1933 in Knoxville, Tennessee. He married Mildred Paggett on November 26, 1958 in East Point, Georgia. He served in the U.S. Navy. Mr. Whitson was a driver for Georgia Dealers Auction and was a member of Liberty Baptist Church of Douglasville. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Mrs. Mildred Paggett Whitson of Douglasville; one son and daughter-in-law, Michael Craig and Debora of Douglasville; two grandchildren, Garrett Whitson and Autumn Whitson; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Services will be conducted Tuesday, October 10, 2006 at 11:00 AM from Liberty Baptist Church in Douglasville with Rev. Terry Marbut officiating. Mr. Whitson will lie in state at the church from 10:00 AM until the funeral hour. Interment will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglas Chapel on Monday, October 9, 2006 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
