Marc Denver Thompson

Mr. Marc Denver Thompson, age 26 of Carrollton, Georgia passed away, Sunday, December 22, 2019. He was born June 20, 1993 in Carrollton, Georgia, the son of the late Lt. Jeffrey Denver Thompson and Mrs. Donna Jean Abner Thompson. Marc was a very private person, but those who truly knew him knew his tender heart, his dry, witty sense of humor, his sharp intelligence, and the way he unconditionally loved and protected his family. His dog Oliver and his ball python snake were his constant buddies. Marc loved listening to all kinds of music, and he was learning to play the guitar. As an avid film buff, Marc especially leaned towards superhero movies, with Batman as his all-time favorite. He would be the first to tell you about his own mistakes, but he would also tell you that he gave his heart to Christ recently. He is preceded in death by his father, Lt. Jeffrey Denver Thompson and grandparents, Rev. and Mrs. G.K. Abner. Marc is survived by his mother, Donna Thompson of Carrollton, Georgia; brother, Joseph Thompson of Carrollton, Georgia; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Thompson of Winston, Georgia; aunts and uncles, Jan and Danny Easterwood of Pell City, Alabama, and Ginger and Joey Smothers of Winston, Georgia; cousins, Katie Smothers of Winston, Georgia, Haley Easterwood of Pell City, Alabama, Marsha Easterwood of Anniston, Alabama, and Melissa Easterwood of Delta, Alabama. The family will receive friends at Ephesus Baptist Church, 8445 Ephesus Church Road, Villa Rica, Georgia, on Monday, December 30, 2019 from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM. Memorial service will be conducted immediately following on Monday, December 30, 2019 at 3:00 PM at Ephesus Baptist Church with Dr. Billy Godwin officiating.
