Marcell Jane Carpenter Luke

Ms. Marcell Jane Carpenter Luke, 49, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Monday, June 5, 2006 at her residence. She was born December 12, 1956 in Decatur, Alabama the daughter of Mrs. Geneva Ridings Carpenter and the late Mr. Owen Carpenter. She was of the Baptist Faith and worked as a cook at the Huddle House. She is survived by two daughters, Donna Carpenter and Michelle Godfrey both of Douglasville; two sons, Michael Godfrey and Joseph Godfrey both of Douglasville; her mother, Geneva Ridings Carpenter of Douglasville; two sisters, Amy Creel of Douglasville and Martha Meredith of Newnan; one brother, Ray Carpenter of Albany; 6 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Services will be conducted Wednesday, June 7, 2006 at 2:00 PM from the Douglas Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home. Entombment will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. The following will serve as pallbearers: Jimmy Carpenter, Scott Rainwater, Randy Weaver, Matt Gossett, Joe Godfrey, and Michael Godfrey.
