Marcia Alaine Vaughn

Marcia Alaine Lightsey Vaughn, 59, of Villa Rica, passed away peacefully in her home, with her family by her side on Monday, January 26, 2026. She was born on September 28, 1966, the daughter of the late Billy Lightsey and the late Ora Lee Pate Lightsey.

Marcia was a devoted wife, mother, granny, sister, and friend. She dedicated her life to the care and happiness of those around her. Family was her greatest gift. The love she held for her family was immeasurable, and she took great pride in being a good Granny, nurturing her grandchildren with lots of love. Her home was a sanctuary, and it was filled with laughter, love, and the sweet aroma of freshly brewed coffee—her daily ritual that brought joy into her life each morning.

Marcia adored hummingbirds, and she was a book nerd. She loved desserts, especially cheesecakes and warm chocolate melting cakes. She also loved to travel, often going on cruises.

She is survived by her loving husband, Donald Lee Vaughn; daughters and sons-in-law, Jessie and Matthew Raiden of Broxton, Georgia and Rebecca and Taylor Walton of Villa Rica, Georgia; sons and daughters-in-law, Josh and Justine Vaughn of Broxton, Georgia, Matthew and Emma Vaughn of Villa Rica, Georgia; sister and brother-in-law, Lori and Robert Henry of Tallapoosa, Georgia; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ricky and Hettie Lightsey of Macon, Georgia, Billy and Lydia Lightsey of New Smyrna Beach, Florida; Robert and Karen Lightsey of Howey in the Hills, Florida; six grandchildren, Easton, Greyson, Jude, Asher, Gracie, Lane and two more on the way; numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 28, 2026 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home Villa Rica Chapel. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, January 29, 2026 at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home Villa Rica Chapel at 11:00 AM with Rev. Philip Corbean and Elder Miles Newton officiating. Interment will follow at Vaughn Family Cemetery in Broxton, Georgia with Tim Vaughn officiating on Saturday, January 31, 2026 at 3:00 PM.

The following will serve as pallbearers: Justin Peterson, Craig Ward, Jason Vaughn, Urbano Sanchez, Vince Henry, and Gary Slusher.

Marcia will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
