Marea Stamey

Mrs. Marea Jane Dorsey Stamey, 89, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Saturday, February 25, 2017 at her home. She was born April 9, 1927 in Helen, Georgia, the daughter of the late Mr. Charlie Lee Dorsey and the late Mrs. Mae Edwards Dorsey. She worked as a medical nurse and later at National Distributing Company. She was a member of St. Stephens Orthodox Church in Hiram. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene McKinley Stamey; sisters, Norma Mote of Decatur and Lura Chambers; brother, Earl Dorsey. She is survived by two daughters, Jane Arnold and Carol Ann Stamey both of Douglasville; son and daughter-in-law, Charles Eugene and Regis Marie Stamey of Loganville; brother and sister-in-law, Harold and Louise Dorsey of McDonough; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews.
