Margaret Mauss

Mrs. Margaret Howard Mauss, age 81, of Villa Rica passed away Friday, January 14, 2011 at Tanner Medical Center in Villa Rica. She was born February 25, 1929 in Thomaston, Georgia the daughter of the late Mr. Walter L. Howard and the late Mrs. Minnie B. Smith Howard. She retired from Cobb General Hospital where she worked from 1971 to 1989 as an LPN. She was a long time member of the First Baptist Church of Villa Rica. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband John A. Mauss; son, John Michael Mauss; sister, Burnice Blackmon. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and Rex Camp of Villa Rica; three grandchildren, Alan and Melinda Camp of Villa Rica, Ryan and Bibbi Camp of Atlanta, Paula and Joe Polo of Temple; four great-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be conducted Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church in Villa Rica with Rev. Mike Stephens and Dr. Marion Beaver officiating. Musical selections will be provided by Rob Alford. Interment will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens in Douglasville. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica Monday, January 17, 2011 from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers the family has request contributions be made to the First Baptist Church of Villa Rica Building Fund, 1483 West Highway 78, Villa Rica, Georgia 30180.
