Margaret Odell Brown Moon

Mrs. Margaret Odell (Brown) Moon, 82, of Friendship Church Road, Douglasville, Georiga passed away Friday, November 17, 2006 at Vitas Haven House Hospice in Atlanta. She was born on March 9, 1924 in Haralson County Georgia, the daughter of the late Noah Talmadge Brown and the late Mrs. Mattie Thelma Weathington Brown. She was a homemaker and a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, J.C. Moon, one son, Jimmy Charles Moon; one brother, Hubbard Brown; and two sisters; Mildred Blair, and Clara Cook. Survivors include one daughter, Beverly Cochran of Douglasville, two sons, Terry Moon of Douglasville, and Jerry Moon of Douglasville; one sister, Faye Watson of Riverdale; one brother, Ray Brown of California, three grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, November 20, 2006 at 2:00 PM from Mt. Zion Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Wheeler and Rev. Thomas Cochran officiating. Mrs. Moon will be placed in state at the church at 1:00 PM. Musical selections will be provided by Shana Smith, vocalist accompanied by Adam Cochran. Interment will follow in the Yorkville Cemetery in Yorkville. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica on Sunday, November 19, 2006 from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
