Margarete Rose Sargent

Margarete Rose Sargent, 82, passed away on August 20, 2024. She was born on October 21, 1941, the daughter of the late Francis Helstowski and the late Frances Helstowski.

Margarete was known for her immense love for her family. She was a gifted cook, where she took great joy in preparing delicious meals for her loved ones. Beyond the comforts of her kitchen, Margarete found peace and passion in gardening. She was a devout Christian and she was very active in her church. Margarete will be deeply missed by those who were lucky enough to know her. 

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Robert James Sargent; daughters, Dawn Marie Jupp and Marie Elaine Bailey; brothers, Anthony, George, and Frank; sister, Barbara.

She is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law, David Howland of Winston and Bronson (Tiffany) Sargent of Villa Rica; grandchildren, Frank Bowman, Francine Bowman, Joseph David Howland, Farran Jupp, Joseph Bailey, Fabray Jupp, Talina Bailey, Elyn Sargent, and Eason Sargent; great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Helstowski; several nieces and nephews.

The family will have a celebration of life service at Heritage Baptist Church in Douglasville on Sunday, August 25, 2024 at 2:00 PM.
