Mrs. Margie Daniell Garrett, 74, of Villa Rica, Georgia passed away Saturday, July 3, 2010 at Carrollton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center following an extended illness. A native of Villa Rica, she was born February 5, 1936, the daughter of the late Mr. Thomas Clarence âT.C.â Daniell and the late Mrs. Carrie Dell Hilton Daniell. She was a devoted and faithful member of the Villa Rica First United Methodist Church where she served on numerous committees, taught Sunday School for 30 years, sang in the chancel choir and served as the worship chairman as long as her health permitted. Even in her declining health, she was looked to for advice and direction by the worship committee and alter guild due to her vast knowledge of Methodist protocol. She was a homemaker. She was devoted to her family and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Mrs. Garrett was an animal lover and she enjoyed adopting and fostering cats and dogs in need of a loving home. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Holmes Garrett and her brother, Louis Daniell. She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Sheila and Matt Maciejewski of Villa Rica and Nancy Garrett of Austell; sons and daughters-in-law, Lance and Patsy Garrett of Douglasville and Joey and Chen Ting Garrett of Villa Rica; sister and brother-in-law, Darthy and Pete Cohran of Villa Rica; brother and sister-in-law, Jimmie and Bobbie Daniell of Temple; 7 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Services will be conducted Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at 11:00 AM at the Villa Rica First United Methodist Church with Rev. Derek Porter and Rev. James Smith officiating. Musical selections will be provided by Jessica Garrett, Lyle Garrett, David Rodriquez and members of the Villa Rica First United Methodist Church Choir, accompanied by Teresa Vick. Interment will follow at in the Garden of Cornerstone at Meadowbrook Memory Gardens in Villa Rica. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica, Tuesday, July 6, 2010 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
