Marie Cochran Haynes

Mrs. Marie Cochran Haynes, 93, of Austell, Georgia passed away Thursday, September 1, 2005 at Wellstar Cobb Hospital. She was born February 15, 1912 in Atlanta, Georgia the daughter of the late Dr. Albert H. Cochran, Sr. and the late Mrs. Mallie Ophelia Garrison Cochran. She was of the Methodist Faith and was a member of Park Street Methodist Church in Atlanta since 1925. She was a 1934 graduate of Wesleyan College in Macon, Georgia where she received her Bachelors Degree in Biology. She worked as a supervising caseworker at the Fulton County DEFACS office for many years and was a member of the Order of Eastern Star. She enjoyed travel and quilting. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Dr. Albert H. Cochran, Jr. She is survived by one son, William Joseph Haynes of Douglasville; 4 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and 3 nieces. Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday, September 3,2005 at 11:00 AM from the Douglas Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Westview Cemetery in Atlanta. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglas Chapel on Friday, September 2, 2005 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
