Marie Woods

Mrs. Marie Weaver Woods, 75, of Cooper Street, Douglasville, Georgia passed away Thursday, August 17, 2017 at her home. She was born June 9, 1942 in Dahlonega, Georgia, the daughter of the late Mr. Leonard Weaver and the late Beulah Ensley. She was a member of Fairhaven Baptist Church in Douglasville. She worked as a cook at Church’s Chicken. She was devoted to her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Troy Harold Woods; and a daughter, Carol Willis. She is survived by her daughter, Beverly Smith of Douglasville; son, Richard Hice of Ohio; sisters, Kathy Ensley and Lois Ensley both of Tennessee; brother, Steve Dilbeck of Blue Ridge; two granddaughter, Jessica Brittaney Harris and Tommie Harris; several nieces and nephews; and her beloved church family. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville, Saturday, August 19, 2017 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Sunday, August 20, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Fairhaven Baptist Church in Douglasville with Rev. James Biddy officiating. She will lie in state at the church on Sunday from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM. Interment will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. Messages of condolence to the family may be sent at www.jones-wynn.com.
