Marilyn Pauline Johnston Jones

Mrs. Marilyn Pauline Johnston Jones, age 74, of Villa Rica, Georgia passed away Monday, November 30, 2009 at Pine Knoll Nursing and Rehab Center in Carrollton, Georgia. She was born April 18, 1935 in Austell, Georgia, the daughter of the late Mr. James Paul Johnston and the late Mrs. Myrtle Marie Wellham Johnston. Mrs. Jones attended nursing school in 1965 and had a degree in accounting. She worked in banking and licensed practical nurse for ten years. Mrs. Jones was a member of Sweetwater Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her husband, George Frederick Jones. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Sheri and Buddy Hendrix of McAllister, Oklahoma; her sons and daughters-in-law, Rick and Becky Jones of Crawfordville, Florida and Tony and Tammy Jones of Villa Rica; her sisters and brothers-in-law, Louise and Jimmy McMichen of Douglasville, Mary and Bill Stewart of Felton, Patsy and Curtis Rutland of Lenox and Betty and Bobby Estes of Hiram; her brothers and sisters-in-law, J.B. and Iris Johnston of Temple and Roy and Ann Johnston of Dallas; 10 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Services will be conducted Thursday, December 3, 2009 at 11:00AM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica with Rev. Mike Powers officiating. Interment will follow in Sunrise Memorial Gardens in Douglasville, Georgia.
