Marion Helton

Mr. Marion Gerald Helton, age 87, of Villa Rica, passed away, Monday, January 16, 2017. He was born September 3, 1929 in Villa Rica the son of the late Mr. Joseph Homer Helton and the late Mrs. Addie Bea Camp Helton. Mr. Helton served in the United States Air Force Reserve. He owned and operated Budget Builders and Midway Reality for many years. He enjoyed his work and took great pride in a job well done. He was a member of Flat Rock Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Hubert Helton and Harold Helton. He is survived by his wife, Peggy McCord Helton of Carrollton; daughter, Angela Cummings of Villa Rica; son, Scott Helton of Villa Rica; two grandchildren, Heath Cummings, Dara Helton; three great grandchildren, Myriah Boyett, Aiden and Liam Cummings; one nieces, Cheryl Tyson; several extended family also survives. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica, Tuesday, January 17, 2017 from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at 12:00 PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Dr. Jerry Brown officiating.
